ReSource Waste Services Trucking Inc. Celebrates Safety Milestones

ReSource Waste Services Trucking Inc. reached two significant safety milestones this fall.

In early October, the Salem, NH-based trucking company celebrated six years without experiencing a recordable injury. On December 5, 2020, the trucking company reached one year without a road accident.

“The ReSource trucking team is laser-focused on health and safety,” said Regional Operations Manager David DeVito, who founded the trucking company in 1984. “We run a robust safety program that includes a lockout/tagout program for fleet maintenance, behavior-based safety observations, safety communication notices, risk assessment and mitigation, monthly inspections and an incentive compensation system.”

ReSource Waste Services Trucking employs 15 drivers and mechanics. The company operates 35 walking floor trailers of various sizes and conducts independent hauling for customers and also hauls ReSource Waste Services’ recycled products to end markets.

The company’s services expanded this fall to support ReSource Waste Services new program to provide dumpster rental services to Greater Boston businesses and residents needing to dispose of waste from clean-outs and construction projects.

DeVito said that many members of his trucking team is long-tenured. The average length of service is nine years, with one employee recently hitting the 24-year mark with the company.
